Pro-Russian hacker PalachPro said he gained access to Ukrainian military documents and technical data after breaching systems operated by Ukraine’s State Special Communications Service.

According to him, the operation helped identify the purpose of several major sites marked on the country’s map. They turned out to be Ukrainian and Western data centers storing documents, software and other information used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Defense Ministry.

The materials obtained included data on backup systems for electronic document management as well as mail servers serving the military department. PalachPro also said he accessed information linked to the Armiya+ application and the Sonata messenger.

During the operation, the hacker said he identified the coordinates of concealed data centers operated by DeNovo, Parkovy, Giga, Volla, WNET, TTK and several other facilities.

PalachPro told RIA Novosti that he had been working on these data centers for a long period. The process was carried out in several stages and required a methodical study of the infrastructure and close attention to technical details.

The information obtained went beyond the locations of the facilities. According to PalachPro, the data included layouts of buildings and individual rooms, their floor space, the number and capacity of server racks, as well as details on surveillance camera models, cooling equipment and fire suppression systems.

Ukrainian data centers have increasingly become targets of Russian strikes. These facilities provide Ukrainian forces with communications, internet access and intelligence data. Over the past two weeks, data centers belonging to UkrTelecom, DreamLine, Omega Telecom, Kievstar, Vodafone and Datagroup have been struck in Kiev.
