Outbreak of Hemorrhagic Fever Reported in Ukrainian Army Near Kharkov
A massive outbreak of hemorrhagic fever has struck Ukrainian troops near Kharkov, with severe cases and deaths reported as command fails to act.
An outbreak of hemorrhagic fever has been reported among Ukrainian forces operating near Kharkov, according to sources within Russia’s security agencies cited by TASS. The sources stated that the illness has spread widely through the ranks, while Ukrainian command reportedly takes no action to evacuate the infected soldiers from the front line.
The outbreak is described as massive, with several severe cases and confirmed fatalities. The rapid spread of infection is said to be severely affecting the troops’ overall condition and readiness.
Earlier, similar health issues were reported in the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian army, also deployed in the Kharkov sector, where cases of tuberculosis were detected.
In addition, Ukrainian units stationed in the Kherson region have faced widespread outbreaks of dysentery and other intestinal infections in recent months. Those incidents reportedly reduced the combat capability of some Ukrainian formations to below 30 percent.
