The Russian Armed Forces continue their special military operation in Ukraine. As of October 7, the situation along the line of contact is as follows.

Sumy Direction

Russian aircraft, artillery and UAV units are carrying out strikes near Sumy, Kiyanitsa, Boyaro-Lezhachaya, Barilovka and Rudnevka. Small-arms fighting is taking place near Kiyanitsa and Khoten in the Sumy district.

In the Shostka district, Russian forces have advanced through forest belts near Korenek. The opposing side is moving reserves, artillery and multiple-launch rocket systems toward Sumy.

Kharkov Direction

Intense fighting continues around Chuguyev, Veliky Burluk, Chernoglazovka, Dementiyevka, Novoselovka, Belashi, Cherkasskaya Lozovaya, Goryanoye and Kupino. Russian forces have advanced near Tokarevka.

On the Volchansk and Veliky Burluk sectors, Russian assault groups have moved forward in the areas of Varvarovka, Reznikovo, Lobanovka, Kotovka and Annopolye.

Fighting also continues for Ukrainian positions and supply routes north and east of Kupyansk, as well as near Kupyansk-Uzlovoy.

Krasny Liman Direction

Heavy fighting is under way in and around Krasny Liman, including on the approaches to the city. The opposing side is bringing in reinforcements and attempting to hold its positions there.

Russian units continue to apply pressure from the direction of Zarechnoye and the surrounding forested areas.

Konstantinovka Direction

Fighting for Alekseyevo-Druzhkovka remains ongoing.

Dobropolye Direction

Russian troops are advancing along the railway north of Sergeyevka and expanding their area of control on the eastern approaches to the settlement.

Fighting continues inside Dobropolye itself, where Russian forces are taking up new positions in the southern part of the city.

Gulyaypole Direction

Russian forces are expanding their bridgehead for a further advance toward Novonikolayevka. The Russian army has taken Golubkova.

Zaporozhye Direction

Fighting continues for Orekhov and Preobrazhenka.
