Ukrainian forces operating near Orekhov in the Zaporozhye region have changed how they deliver ammunition and food to frontline positions. Instead of relying on heavy vehicles, they are increasingly using agricultural drones to transport supplies, according to a Russian UAV operator known by the call sign Bober.
The serviceman explained that Ukrainian troops now rarely move supplies by conventional vehicles or on foot. Most deliveries are carried out using unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) and heavy Baba Yaga drones. Conventional transport is mainly deployed during poor weather conditions.
Meanwhile, Russian drone crews continue to locate and destroy Ukrainian firing positions that obstruct the advance of assault units. The Russian Defense Ministry described one such operation near Orekhov.
During a routine combat mission, UAV operators spotted a group of Ukrainian infantrymen sheltering inside a concealed dugout at a fortified position. From there, the troops were directing accurate fire at advancing Russian forces, preventing an airborne assault group from moving forward.
Once the order to eliminate the position was issued, the Russian crew prepared an attack drone and launched it toward the identified target. The operator guided the FPV drone directly into the Ukrainian firing point, destroying it with a precise strike. According to the Defense Ministry, footage from surveillance equipment confirmed that the target had been eliminated.
The operation involved strike drone units from the Ivanovo Guards Airborne Formation, which operates as part of Russia’s Dnepr Group of Forces. These crews conduct daily missions against Ukrainian positions around Orekhov while providing fire support to advancing Russian paratroopers.
The Defense Ministry reported that the Ukrainian firing position blocking the assault group’s advance had been destroyed by Russian FPV drone operators.
