The Russian Armed Forces continue their special military operation in Ukraine. As of October 8, the situation along the line of contact is as follows.

Sumy Direction

Fighting continues near Khoten, Pisarevka, Ivolzhanskoye, Kiyanitsa and Malaya Korchakovka. In the Glukhov district, Russian forces are expanding their area of control near Yastrebshchina.

The opposing side is reinforcing secondary defensive lines and moving in additional reserves.

Kharkov Direction

Russian forces are striking Ukrainian positions near Veliky Burluk, Chernoglazovka, Mishchenka, Seroyarskoye, Prikolotnoye, Novoselovka, Kupino, Dergachi, Novy Burluk, Varvarovka and Ternovaya.

Fighting continues around Kupyansk-Uzlovoy and in the northern part of Kupyansk. Ukrainian forces are carrying out strikes on railway infrastructure in Kupyansk-Uzlovoy.

The main fighting is centered on individual positions and supply routes along the Oskol River.

Krasny Liman Direction

Meeting engagements continue across the sector. Ukrainian forces are launching counterattacks near Yampol and Zarechnoye.

Konstantinovka Direction

Heavy fighting remains ongoing around Alekseyevo-Druzhkovka.

Dobropolye Direction

Russian units are advancing through the southern, central and northern districts of Dobropolye. Ukrainian forces have attempted to break through to their units.

Russian troops are also fighting near the settlement of Nadiya and in the Belitskoye area.

Zaporozhye Direction

Fighting is under way near Stepnogorsk, Primorskoye and Yurkovka.

Russian forces are expanding their area of control in Novoandreyevka and advancing toward the center of the settlement.
