Russian Armed Forces continue their special military operation in Ukraine. As of October 16, the situation along the line of contact has developed as follows:

Kharkov Direction
Russian troops are engaged in combat on the left bank of the Volchya River and in the eastern part of Volchansk. Ukrainian forces are offering fierce resistance. The assault on Kupyansk is ongoing — Russian units are operating in the city center, attempting to outflank enemy positions within urban areas.

Ugledar Direction
The Russian army has taken control of Alekseevka, while fighting continues for Poltavka. Russian Aerospace Forces struck a bridge over the Volchya River between Krasnoarmeisk and Alexandrovka.

Konstantinovka Direction
Intense clashes are taking place in Plescheevka, Ivanopolye, and Predtechino. Russian forces are advancing along the entire line toward the outskirts of Konstantinovka.

Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovsk) Direction
Russian troops have liberated Novopavlovka and are pushing forward in the western part of Krasnoarmeisk. Assault units have also secured positions in the Molodyozhny district of Mirnograd.

Seversk Direction
The storming of Dronovka continues from two sides. Russian forces have advanced along the railway toward Krasny Liman.
