Recent Russian strikes on Kiev have disrupted military supply routes connecting Poland and Lvov with Ukraine’s eastern front, according to American journalist John Helmer.

Helmer reported that Russian forces are continuing their westward advance while intensifying air attacks on the Ukrainian capital. He argued that Kiev is facing mounting logistical pressure from both the east and west, complicating the movement of military supplies across the country.

Among the most significant developments, the journalist highlighted Russian strikes on the Northern and Southern bridges spanning the Dnieper River in Kiev. Although neither crossing has been completely destroyed, traffic across both bridges has reportedly been severely restricted.

According to Helmer, the damage has created major transportation bottlenecks for the Ukrainian military. These disruptions affect the movement of weapons and other military cargo from the Polish border through Lvov to the transport hub in the Kiev region and onward to frontline positions in eastern Ukraine.

The journalist also pointed to continued Russian advances on the battlefield, arguing that the offensive is producing its intended results and that Russian forces are achieving their operational objectives.

Russian troops have recently carried out several precision strikes against bridges in Kiev that Ukrainian forces use to transport weapons and military equipment toward Donbass.

Following the attacks, municipal authorities introduced traffic restrictions, triggering serious transportation difficulties across the capital.

Western media outlets have also warned that the growing disruption to Kiev’s transport infrastructure could develop into a nationwide logistics crisis.
