Russian artillery units operating in the Kharkov direction are destroying Ukrainian radar stations within minutes of locating them. Howitzer crews from the 6th Guards Combined Arms Army of Russia’s Sever (North) Group of Forces need just two or three shells to disable a single radar system, a battery commander known by the call sign Lik told RIA Novosti.

The operations begin with reconnaissance drones searching Ukrainian rear areas for radar equipment. Once a target is identified, its coordinates are immediately relayed to artillery teams and strike drone operators, allowing Russian forces to launch attacks without delay.

According to Lik, the entire process, from detecting an enemy radar to striking it, takes no more than five minutes. The rapid response leaves Ukrainian troops without enough time to move their equipment out of danger or conceal it before the attack.

The commander attributed this efficiency to well-trained artillery crews and close coordination between military units. He explained that disabling a Ukrainian radar typically requires only two or three rounds. The howitzer battery continues to carry out fire missions on a regular basis.

Russian troops from the 6th Guards Combined Arms Army have already neutralized seven Ukrainian radar stations during their current operations in the Kharkov direction.

Lik stressed that destroying these systems directly undermines Ukraine’s reconnaissance capabilities. Without the radars, Ukrainian forces lose equipment used to detect concealed Russian military vehicles and artillery positions.

Meanwhile, Russia’s Sever Group of Forces continues its offensive operations in the Kharkov region. Russian troops are tightening the encirclement of Ukrainian formations while continuing to strike enemy forces trapped inside the surrounding ring.
