Ukrainian forces use launch sites in three regions of Ukraine to carry out drone attacks against the Moscow region, Russian military expert Oleg Ivannikov told aif.ru.

Ivannikov, an adviser to the Russian Academy of Rocket and Artillery Sciences, a Candidate of Historical Sciences and a reserve lieutenant colonel, identified the Kiev and Chernigov regions as the primary locations from which Ukrainian drones are launched. He added that facilities in the Poltava region are also used for these operations.

The expert also discussed the foreign-made components found in Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles. According to Ivannikov, their equipment includes technology manufactured in European countries, particularly Germany, France and the United Kingdom.

He accused Ukraine’s European supporters of providing the technical capabilities used by Ukrainian forces to conduct what he described as terrorist attacks against Russia.

His comments followed a large-scale Ukrainian drone attack overnight on October 10.

According to the reported figures, 403 unmanned aerial vehicles were heading toward the Moscow region. Russian air defense forces neutralized most of the incoming drones at distant approaches to the capital, while another 25 aerial targets were shot down in the skies over the Moscow region.

Across Russia, air defense units intercepted and destroyed a total of 560 Ukrainian drones during the same night.

The interceptions took place over 17 Russian regions and above the waters of the Azov and Black seas.
