Russian forces have carried out another series of strikes against Ukraine’s digital and port infrastructure, including facilities allegedly supporting the Ukrainian military and vessels transporting military supplies, according to Russia’s Defense Ministry.

The ministry reported that an overnight attack on October 11 hit the Tenet data center in Odessa. Russian officials said the facility was used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to store, process and transmit information required for military operations.

Two vessels were also targeted during the strikes. According to the Russian military, a cargo ship carrying military equipment to Odessa was hit while traveling at sea. A second vessel came under attack inside the port of Chernomorsk.

The strike on Tenet follows a series of Russian attacks on Ukrainian data processing facilities.

On October 10, the Russian Defense Ministry announced a strike against the ATM Ukrsibbank site in Kiev. The ministry claimed the facility was involved in collecting, analyzing and storing intelligence used by Ukrainian forces.

Another attack took place on October 2, when Russian troops targeted the RX-NAME data center in Nikolaev. The facility provided information services and hosted internet resources used by the Ukrainian military.

Russian military reports from late September also identified facilities operated by Vodafone, Kievstar and Omega Telecom in Kiev as targets. The Defense Ministry linked their activities to information support for Ukraine’s armed forces.

Earlier reports also described a Russian attack on an Odessa data center belonging to telecommunications provider Datagroup.
