Ukrainian commanders have concentrated substantial forces on the western outskirts of Krasny Liman and near Nikolaevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, military expert Andrey Marochko reported.

According to Marochko, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are reinforcing these sectors in an apparent attempt to gain a numerical advantage over Russian troops.

The expert identified Nikolaevka and western Krasny Liman as the areas with the largest Ukrainian troop concentrations in the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration. He said the Ukrainian military has significantly increased its deployment of personnel and equipment in these locations.

Marochko believes Ukrainian commanders intend to use their numerical superiority to achieve tactical gains on the battlefield. However, he argued that Russian units are mounting strong resistance and conducting intensive combat operations, preventing Ukrainian forces from achieving their objectives along this section of the front.

The military analyst had previously reported the transfer of additional Ukrainian reserves to Slavyansk, Kramatorsk and Druzhkovka.

According to his assessment, Ukraine’s military and political leadership continues to commit substantial manpower and equipment to strengthening defensive positions across this part of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
