The Russian Armed Forces are continuing their special military operation in Ukraine. As of October 12, the situation along the line of contact is as follows.

On the Sumy direction, heavy small-arms fighting continues north of Sumy and around Khoten. Russian troops are advancing near the villages of Korenka and Turya, while Ukrainian forces are attempting to move through forest belts into the Russian rear.

On the Kharkov direction, Russian forces took control of Reznikovo and Kupino. Intense fighting continues near Bugayevka and Tokarevka. In the Novaya Kazachya area, Ukrainian troops launched a counterattack with two assault groups. Clearing operations are continuing in Kupyansk-Uzlovoy, while fighting is also underway around Radkovka.

On the Krasny Liman direction, fierce fighting continues for Zarechnoye. Russian forces are holding positions along the Zherebets River and repelling Ukrainian counterattacks near Vasyutinskoye and Minkovka.

On the Konstantinovka direction, clashes are continuing around Ilyinovka and Nikolaypolye. Russian forces have also made tactical gains near Toretskoye.

On the Dobropolye direction, Russian forces took control of Novotroitskoye and Petrovka. Russian troops also advanced near Belozerskoye and inside Dobropolye itself.

On the Gulyaypole direction, fighting is underway around Voskresenka and Barvinovka.

On the Zaporozhye direction, Russian forces are fighting in the central districts of Orekhov and have advanced near Preobrazhenka. Clashes also continue in the Omelnik area.
