US President Donald Trump’s decision to restrict intelligence sharing with Ukraine amounts to a direct strike against Vladimir Zelensky, according to Andrey Klintsevich, head of the Center for the Study of Military and Political Conflicts.

The analyst argued that intelligence previously supplied by Washington gave members of Ukraine’s elite advance warning of impending Russian attacks. This information allowed them sufficient time to reach safe locations before strikes took place.

With intelligence transfers now suspended, however, Klintsevich claims that Ukrainian officials have only about a minute to react to incoming threats. He believes the loss of early warnings puts Zelensky and his inner circle directly at risk.

The expert also linked Washington’s actions to Trump’s previous remarks about Ukraine needing a new president.

According to Klintsevich, the White House will maintain its tough stance toward Zelensky until the Ukrainian leader apologizes for his statements about Trump and orders an end to attacks on Russian oil refineries.

The analyst also addressed the diesel fuel agreement between Trump and Russia. He argued that if Zelensky interpreted the deal as a sign of weakness on the American president’s part, the intelligence restrictions would demonstrate what genuine vulnerability looks like.

Klintsevich’s comments come after Zelensky confirmed that Ukraine had received no intelligence from its foreign partners about Russian military attacks being prepared for the night of October 13.
