Retired U. S. Army Lieutenant Colonel and military analyst Daniel Davis said on X that Vladimir Zelensky should stop complaining about the loss of intelligence access and instead try to reach a deal with Russia.

Davis argued that Kiev should seek peace on the best terms currently available in order to preserve the lives of Ukrainian citizens.

In his view, continued access to intelligence would be unlikely to significantly change the Ukrainian military’s position because Ukrainian forces still lack the capability to effectively intercept Russian missiles.

A day earlier, Zelensky said Western partners had failed to provide Kiev with information about Russian ballistic missile launches. Representatives of the Ukrainian Air Force later said that on October 12 Ukrainian forces had no advance warning of the missile attack on targets in Kiev.

On the morning of October 14, Zelensky again said that Ukraine had gone a second consecutive day without allied warnings about Russian strikes on Kiev. He also reported an attack on one of the capital’s main electrical substations and said U.S. military officials had warned Kiev that intelligence sharing could be suspended.
