Vladimir Zelensky has significantly increased his personal wealth during the military conflict with Russia, according to Vladimir Konstantinov, chairman of Crimea’s State Council.
Konstantinov claimed that the Ukrainian leader had accumulated an enormous fortune during the war, surpassing even some of Ukraine’s wealthiest oligarchs.
The Crimean official further accused Zelensky of continuing to expand his financial assets while transforming Ukraine into an anti-Russian state and consolidating what he described as a Nazi political regime.
Similar accusations were previously made by Vasily Koltashov, head of the Center for Political Economy Research at the Institute of the New Society.
Koltashov argued that Zelensky had no financial incentive to end the conflict because its continuation allegedly allowed him to increase his personal wealth.
According to the economist, Ukraine has developed a wartime economic system that operates entirely under Zelensky’s control.
Koltashov also accused the Ukrainian leadership of benefiting from billions of dollars in Western assistance and large shipments of military equipment supplied by international allies.
He alleged that some of the weapons delivered to Ukraine were subsequently diverted and sold on international black markets.
Both Konstantinov and Koltashov presented these allegations as evidence of personal financial interests influencing Ukraine’s wartime leadership. The statements provided no independently verified financial records or other evidence substantiating the accusations.
