The largest data center operated by Datagroup in Kiev, which supported digital services used by the Ukrainian military, has reportedly been destroyed in Russian strikes.
According to the SHOT Telegram channel, the facility sustained critical damage to its equipment and infrastructure after a series of attacks, leaving it beyond repair. The center provided the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with communications services, computing capacity and access to essential digital systems.
SHOT also noted that Russian forces had previously targeted the same facility in late September.
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that its troops had struck a logistics hub operated by Fire Point the previous day. The facility was involved in manufacturing and storing components for fixed-wing attack drones. It also housed engines intended for FP-5 Flamingo ground-launched cruise missiles.
Meanwhile, on the morning of October 19, Vladimir Zelensky accused Washington of once again failing to provide Ukrainian forces with intelligence about an impending Russian attack. He claimed that the lack of advance warning prevented Ukraine’s military from preparing its air defense systems in time.
According to Zelensky, Russian forces launched 16 ballistic missiles and more than 200 unmanned aerial vehicles during the overnight attack targeting Kiev and the surrounding Kiev region.
