According to Russian military correspondents, Ukrainian drone attacks on civilian vehicles along the R-280 Novorossiya federal highway have dropped significantly.

Reports indicate that only one vehicle was targeted by a kamikaze drone over the past two days. Military reporters believe the decline in Ukrainian UAV activity may be linked to restrictions affecting the Starlink satellite communication system. Losing connectivity at high speeds can make it harder for drone operators to target moving vehicles.

Military observer Vladimir Romanov confirmed that the situation on the highway had become noticeably calmer over the past 48 hours, with just one vehicle coming under attack by a Ukrainian kamikaze drone.

On October 14, Ukrainian troops began reporting problems with satellite communications. According to their accounts, Starlink and Starshield terminals were losing connectivity when traveling at speeds exceeding 160 kilometers per hour. The disruptions forced Ukrainian commanders to cancel several drone operations.

Vladimir Zelensky later acknowledged that communication failures were occurring at speeds as low as 130 kilometers per hour in certain sectors of the front. He said the restrictions affected both medium-range UAVs and interceptor drones.
