During the night, Russian air defense forces repelled a large-scale drone assault launched by the Ukrainian military, the Russian Defense Ministry reported. In total, 46 enemy UAVs were intercepted and destroyed across several regions of the country. According to the ministry, the attack took place between 10:35 p.m. on August 12 and 6:05 a.m. Moscow time on August 13. The drones were identified as fixed-wing aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles. The highest number—15 drones—was downed over the Bryansk region. Another 11 were intercepted in the skies above the Volgograd region, while seven were destroyed over the Rostov region and five over the Krasnodar Territory. Two drones each were shot down over the Belgorod and Voronezh regions, as well as above the Republic of Crimea and the waters of the Sea of Azov.
