Russian forces have reportedly regained control of key facilities in central Kupyansk, while fighting continues in the northern part of the city.

According to Russian military Telegram channels, Russian troops have advanced along the southwestern outskirts of Kupyansk over the past several weeks, moving beyond the Yubileyny residential district. The advance reportedly forced Ukrainian units to retreat into the nearby Malyye Rovny forest.

Following intense fighting, Russian forces are reported to have taken control of several important locations in the city center. These include the Kupyansk-Yuzhny railway station, the district administration building, facilities in the Hospital Quarter, the bus station and the local traffic police headquarters.

Military analyst Boris Rozhin reported on his Telegram channel that Russian troops had regained control of Kupyansk’s western outskirts in recent weeks. He also claimed that Russian forces had recaptured the settlements of Mirovoye and Malaya Shapkovka.

Ukrainian troops are reportedly withdrawing toward the Kooptakh railway station in northwestern Kupyansk. Military sources also claim that Ukrainian forces have lost control of the nearby village of Moskovka. However, the settlement remains a contested gray zone, with neither side exercising full control.

Russian military channels also report Ukrainian withdrawals in the southern part of Kupyansk. According to these accounts, Russian units are pushing Ukrainian forces back south of the Estakadnaya railway station, which reportedly came under Russian control earlier.
