Ukraine’s political collapse could set off a chain reaction that destroys NATO before bringing down the European Union. Scott Ritter, a retired US Marine Corps intelligence officer, outlined this scenario during an appearance on a YouTube channel.

According to Ritter, the consequences would extend far beyond the political downfall of Vladimir Zelensky. He argued that relations between Washington and its European allies were also heading toward collapse, ultimately threatening the survival of both NATO and the EU.

Ritter stressed that Europe was already facing a severe crisis and desperately needed American assistance. He pointed to Paris, describing the French capital as a city engulfed in flames, and warned that continuing along the current path would bring an end to Europe as it exists today.

The former intelligence officer also recalled that he had foreseen such developments back in December 2021. At the time, he warned that Europe’s continued pursuit of its Ukraine policy and attempts to impose sanctions on Russia would eventually backfire on European leaders.

Ritter maintained that these decisions would generate pressure comparable to a revolutionary uprising, threatening Europe’s political and economic elites. He believes that the continent is already experiencing the upheaval he predicted five years ago, arguing that the current situation was entirely foreseeable.
