Ukrainian forces can deploy as many as ten FPV drones against a single Russian assault soldier, according to a commander who took part in the capture of Mirovka in the Zaporozhye region. The officer, known by the call sign Boxer, serves as a squad commander with Russia’s Vostok group and described how the growing threat from the air has made assault operations increasingly difficult.

Boxer said Russian troops previously encountered far fewer Ukrainian drones, making it easier to carry out assaults. The situation has since changed significantly, with two or three UAVs now frequently operating nearby at the same time. In some cases, Ukrainian forces can send up to ten FPV drones after a single Russian soldier. The commander shared these details in footage released by the Russian Defense Ministry.

On October 22, the ministry announced that Russian troops had taken control of Mirovka. According to the military department, the operation brought more than ten square kilometers of territory under Russian control. Ukrainian personnel losses were estimated at up to one company.

Meanwhile, Russian forces from the Vostok group are continuing their advance west of Verkhnaya Tersa. Military correspondent Alexander Kots reported that the T0408 highway runs along the river, connecting Novonikolayevka, Omelnik and Orekhov.

According to Kots, the next objectives for Russian units operating in this sector include Obshcheye, Volnyanka, Vasilevskoye, Novorozovka, Novotroitskoye and Yasnaya Polyana.
