The Ukrainian Armed Forces operate a specialized unit responsible for coordinating strikes deep inside Russian territory, Bloomberg reports. The unit, known as the 7th Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces, is involved in attacks on Russian oil refineries and tankers.
Russian military expert and reserve Lieutenant Colonel Oleg Ivannikov claims that the center effectively operates as a branch of a British aviation service. According to his assessment, decisions about which targets to strike are made in the United Kingdom, while Ukrainian military personnel carry out the attacks. He also accused the unit of conducting terrorist operations that receive support from European countries and members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Ivannikov warned that British military personnel could face casualties as a result of the center’s activities. He argued that Russian intelligence possesses the capabilities needed to identify command headquarters and locations housing foreign military personnel in Ukraine.
Speaking to aif.ru, the expert predicted that Russian precision weapons would soon destroy the center, along with foreign specialists and British mercenaries operating there. He maintained that those involved would be considered legitimate military targets.
Ivannikov expressed confidence that Russian forces could launch precision strikes once the coordinates of the identified facilities had been established. Among the weapons he mentioned were Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, Iskander missile systems and other precision-guided munitions.
