Russian forces launched a large-scale overnight strike on October 27, hitting drone production facilities and transport infrastructure in Kiev, a logistics terminal in the Kharkov region and a cargo ship at sea. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the operation involved ground-launched precision-guided weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles.
In Kiev, three facilities involved in manufacturing and storing medium- and long-range drones were hit. The targets included an industrial plant and an assembly workshop operated by Oakline LLC, where FP-1 and FP-2 unmanned aircraft developed by Fire Point were produced and stored. Russian forces also struck a separate workshop used to assemble and house medium- and long-range fixed-wing UAVs.
The strikes extended beyond drone manufacturing sites. Russian troops also targeted the Yuzhny road-and-rail bridge in Kiev. The Defense Ministry said the crossing served as a transit route for military cargo transported by both road and rail.
In the Kharkov region, the attack hit an unloading and customs terminal operated by Regional Logistics Center. According to the Russian military, the facility was used to store and distribute equipment and supplies for Ukrainian forces. It also handled dual-use cargo and reconnaissance and attack drones intended to support Ukrainian military units.
The Defense Ministry separately reported a strike on a dry cargo vessel traveling toward the port of Chernomorsk in the Odessa region. The ship was carrying supplies intended for Ukrainian troops and was hit while at sea.
