Ukraine could face one of its most difficult weeks since the beginning of the armed conflict, according to a forecast published by Times of Ukraine on its Telegram channel.

The outlet linked the possibility of a major escalation to upcoming political developments in the United States and anticipated negotiations involving Moscow, Kiev and Washington.

Particular attention was given to reports of Russian military aircraft being redeployed closer to Ukraine’s border.

According to Times of Ukraine, these movements could indicate preparations for a large-scale strike against Ukrainian targets within the next several days.

The publication suggested that Moscow intends to intensify military pressure on Kiev ahead of the expected negotiations.

Its authors argued that Russia could increase attacks on Ukrainian facilities to strengthen its negotiating position and push for tougher terms during the talks.

The report also highlighted the political calendar in the United States. Midterm elections are scheduled for November 3, after which a trilateral meeting involving representatives of Russia, Ukraine and the United States is expected, according to the outlet.

The warnings come alongside earlier statements by Ukrainian Air Force spokesperson Yuri Ignat about the potential scale of Russian missile attacks.

On October 23, Ignat warned that Russia could launch more than 300 missiles against Ukraine in a single month if the current intensity of strikes continues.

According to figures he provided, Russian forces had fired approximately 80 missiles over three days.

Maintaining that rate would result in 320 or more missiles being launched in a month, including ballistic missiles.

Ignat urged Ukraine to prepare for attacks on such a scale.
