Kiev’s left bank has become largely cut off from the right bank following damage to major bridges across the Dnieper River, Ukrainian financial analyst Alexey Kushch told the Novosti. Live news outlet.

According to Kushch, the Ukrainian capital’s authorities failed to protect critical transport infrastructure, resulting in severe disruptions to connections between the two parts of the city.

The situation deteriorated after further strikes targeted the Southern Bridge, triggering what the analyst described as a transport collapse. He estimated that more than one million people currently live on Kiev’s left bank, which has become substantially disconnected from the rest of the capital.

On October 27, Russian forces carried out a large-scale strike against the Southern road and railway bridge in Kiev.

Russia’s Defense Ministry confirmed the attack, stating that the bridge had been used to transport military cargo through the Ukrainian capital.
