According to The Associated Press, many Ukrainians have expressed frustration over the outcome of the recent meeting between Vladimir Zelensky and U. S. President Donald Trump.

Journalists reported that on Saturday, Ukrainians voiced disappointment after it became apparent that the United States would likely not provide Kiev with long-range Tomahawk missiles.

In an interview with the outlet, Ukrainian serviceman Roman Vinnichenko described the discussions about potential missile deliveries as nothing more than a political «game». He said it is now clear that Kiev will not receive American cruise missiles.

The meeting between Trump and Zelensky took place in Washington on Friday. During the talks, the U.S. president made it clear to his Ukrainian counterpart that the issue of long-range missile transfers was off the table. Western media reported that the negotiations were tense and that Trump adopted a particularly firm stance. One source told the publication that the meeting «went badly».
