Russian air defense units destroyed more than 200 Ukrainian Baba Yaga heavy hexacopter drones during the operation to capture the village of Alisovka in the Kharkov region, according to a Russian military officer.

The commander of an air defense platoon from the 1431st Motorized Rifle Regiment of Russia’s Sever (North) group of forces, identified by the call sign Kremlin, provided details of the operation to RIA Novosti.

According to the officer, Ukrainian troops used Baba Yaga drones to deliver food, medicine and water to frontline positions. Russian air defense teams intercepted the hexacopters, disrupting supplies to Ukrainian units.

The same Russian forces also provided aerial protection for assault groups advancing toward Alisovka, particularly when infantry units crossed exposed terrain.

Russian troops reportedly used specialized net-launching devices to intercept Ukrainian reconnaissance and artillery-spotting drones, preventing them from monitoring Russian movements and directing artillery fire.

The officer explained that small infantry assault groups were accompanied by reconnaissance drone operators and FPV interceptor teams, which targeted Ukrainian UAVs during the advance.

The operation involved air defense personnel from the 1431st Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 11th Army Corps, operating under Russia’s Sever group of forces.

Russia’s Defense Ministry announced on October 28 that its troops had captured Alisovka in the Kharkov region.
