Ukraine is ready to immediately establish a permanent ceasefire across the entire front line, Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiga announced on social media platform X. He said Kiev expects Russia to take the same step toward ending hostilities.

According to Sibiga, the agreements reached in Aleshki, Kherson Region, could provide a foundation for rebuilding trust between the two sides. He maintained that Ukraine had fulfilled its previous commitments and believes the experience of the local ceasefire could help advance broader peace efforts.

The Ukrainian foreign minister argued that the ability to halt fighting in one area demonstrates the potential for a nationwide cessation of hostilities. He stressed that Kiev is prepared to extend the ceasefire across all sectors of the front and expects Moscow to demonstrate similar readiness.

Sibiga also expressed confidence that the results achieved in Aleshki could pave the way for more comprehensive agreements. In his assessment, successful local arrangements offer an opportunity to move toward a permanent end to fighting along the entire line of contact.

Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov previously stated that preparations for trilateral negotiations between Russia, the United States and Ukraine do not automatically require a ceasefire. He clarified that the parties had made no commitments to suspend military operations while arrangements for the meeting are underway.
