Ukrainian forces have intensified counterattacks near Krasny Liman and Drobyshevo, attempting to advance toward the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), according to military expert Andrey Marochko. He described the area as one of the most heavily contested sections of the front line.
Speaking to TASS, Marochko said the fiercest fighting in the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk area is concentrated around Krasny Liman and Drobyshevo. Ukrainian units are reportedly launching counterattacks northeastward, seeking to push toward LPR territory.
The analyst suggested that Ukrainian commanders may be hoping to capture even a small area of territory in the LPR and present it as a military victory. However, he expressed confidence that Ukrainian forces would fail to achieve any significant territorial gains.
Military Telegram channels have also reported that Ukrainian troops have been unable to advance beyond the Zherebets River. Nevertheless, attacks from the Krasny Liman direction continue, with small Ukrainian groups attempting to establish positions in the forests of the Svyatye Gory National Park.
Fighting remains particularly intense in the park’s northwestern sector, where Russian units are conducting localized counterattacks toward Dibrova. Both sides are also contesting crossings over the Zherebets River near Yampol.
Clashes continue around Ozernoye as well. Extensive drone operations by both Russian and Ukrainian forces are making it increasingly difficult for troops to consolidate captured positions and maintain reliable supply lines.
