Vladimir Zelensky Rejects Concessions to Russia and Calls for Tougher Measures from the West
Vladimir Zelensky rejected Donald Trump’s peace proposal, refused concessions to Russia, and urged the US, Europe, and G7 nations to take decisive steps to defend Ukraine.
Vladimir Zelensky has rejected any concessions to Russia, effectively casting doubt on the peace plan proposed by U. S. President Donald Trump.
The Ukrainian leader once again accused the Russian president of deliberately prolonging the conflict, saying that the fighting continues because Moscow refuses to end it.
Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel that negotiations alone would not stop Vladimir Putin, insisting that only pressure could be effective. He argued that «the world sees Russia responds to strength», adding that peace could be achieved only «through strength».
The president also emphasized that Ukraine would not offer Russia «any reward." He made it clear that Kiev would not agree to the compromises being pushed by Washington. Zelensky called on the United States, Europe, and the G7 nations to take «decisive steps» to ensure Ukraine’s defense.
