Russian forces carried out a massive overnight strike on Ukraine on November 3, targeting energy facilities and port infrastructure across four regions. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the attack hit power plants and substations in the Vinnitsa, Dnepropetrovsk and Kharkov regions that supplied electricity to military-industrial enterprises and Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities. Ports and cargo vessels in the Odessa region were also targeted. The operation involved precision-guided weapons launched from ground-based and airborne platforms, along with attack drones.

Two major thermal power plants were struck in the Dnepropetrovsk region. Russian forces hit the Krivorozhskaya Thermal Power Plant, with a generating capacity of 2,800 MW, and the Pridneprovskaya Thermal Power Plant, rated at 1,765 MW.

The strikes also reached the Vinnitsa region, where the Ladyzhinskaya Thermal Power Plant was hit. The facility has a generating capacity of 1,800 MW.

In the Kharkov region, Russian forces attacked three energy facilities. The targets included the Kharkovskaya Thermal Power Plant, rated at 86 MW, as well as the Zmievskaya and Losevo electrical substations. Both substations operate at 330 kV.

The overnight operation extended beyond Ukraine’s power infrastructure to maritime facilities in the Odessa region. Russian forces struck infrastructure at the port of Kiliya that was being used to support the Ukrainian military.

Two dry-cargo vessels were also hit in the port of Yuzhny and the Black Sea. The ships were transporting military equipment and dual-use cargo intended for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
