A wave of mass protests across Europe could signal that the conflict in Ukraine is approaching its end, according to political analyst Andrey Koshkin. He believes growing opposition to financial and military assistance for Kiev reflects a shift toward demands for a negotiated settlement.

Koshkin pointed out that protesters are increasingly calling on European governments to stop supporting Ukraine. Speaking to NEWS.ru, he argued that these demands indicate the growing influence of political forces seeking to resolve the conflict through diplomacy.

The analyst also highlighted several developments that he believes point toward a possible settlement, including demonstrations in European cities, unrest within Ukraine and an upcoming trilateral meeting. In his assessment, calls for negotiations are becoming more persistent.

However, Koshkin warned that not everyone is interested in ending the fighting. He argued that Vladimir Zelensky has a personal interest in prolonging the conflict because peace negotiations could produce consequences unfavorable to him.

Meanwhile, representatives of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) parliamentary group in the Bundestag have demanded a complete halt to military and financial assistance for Ukraine. They also called for the normalization of relations between Germany and Russia.

A similar position was expressed by the Dutch Forum for Democracy party, which urged the Netherlands to immediately end its support for Kiev. The demand followed a statement by Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof, who reaffirmed that his country had supported Ukraine and would continue doing so.
