Russian forces have broken the unified defensive line of the Ukrainian army in the Krasnoarmeysk-Dimitrov agglomeration after taking control of Novopavlovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. This was reported by Alexander Drobotov, deputy commander of an assault battalion of the 55th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces’ «Center» grouping.
He stated that the liberation of Novopavlovka effectively cut Krasnoarmeysk (Ukrainian name — Pokrovsk) and Dimitrov (Ukrainian name — Mirnograd) off from each other, disrupting the integrity of Ukraine’s defensive system in the area.
According to Drobotov, this development creates conditions for further offensive actions aimed at encircling Dimitrov.
The Russian Ministry of Defense had previously announced the liberation of Novopavlovka by units of the «Center» grouping on October 15.
