US President Donald Trump has dismissed the need to use nuclear weapons against Iran, saying the United States has already inflicted devastating damage on the country. He made the remarks in an interview with Politico.

Trump was responding to a journalist’s question about the possibility of the United States launching a nuclear strike against Iran.

The president said there was no need for such an attack because, according to his assessment, the United States had already defeated Iran by 90%.

His comments followed claims by American television journalist Tucker Carlson that Washington was allegedly considering a nuclear strike on Pickaxe Mountain in Iran under pressure from Israel.

Carlson also claimed that Trump could make a final decision on the proposed strike before the end of this week.
