US President Donald Trump’s administration has warned its Middle Eastern allies about the possibility of renewed military strikes against Iran, according to MS Now. The broadcaster reports that Washington is preparing for a short but intensive military operation in the Persian Gulf region.
Citing sources familiar with the plans, MS Now said the operation could begin as early as November 4. Trump reportedly intended to resume attacks on Iranian targets immediately after the US congressional elections.
The prospect of another military confrontation has alarmed Washington’s Arab partners. Several countries are attempting to prevent renewed hostilities, fearing Iranian retaliation against American military bases, energy infrastructure and other facilities on their territory.
According to the report, some Persian Gulf states are considering blocking the Pentagon from using US military installations located within their borders to launch strikes against Iran. Despite these concerns, American forces continue to reinforce their presence in the region, with additional military assets being deployed and preparations reportedly underway to send a third aircraft carrier strike group.
Meanwhile, Washington is maintaining diplomatic contacts with Tehran through Qatari intermediaries. The discussions are aimed at reaching a new agreement on Iran’s nuclear program, leaving the United States simultaneously pursuing negotiations and preparing for a possible military operation.
