Ukraine’s armed forces have carried out the first combat use of the new multipurpose BULLDOG unmanned aerial vehicle against Russian positions along the line of contact in the special military operation zone. The field tests were conducted by troops from the Ukrainian army’s 23rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, representatives of the drone developer ROBONEERS told local media.

During the trials, the BULLDOG completed four sorties while carrying payloads of up to nine kilograms. The UAV reportedly operated at a distance of 15 kilometers from its operator.

Following the combat assessment, Ukrainian servicemen reviewed the drone’s strengths and weaknesses. Their comments, along with proposals for fixing the problems identified during the tests, were passed on to the manufacturer for further refinement of the platform.

The BULLDOG is the third drone in the ROBONEERS product line. The company had previously introduced the WARDOG SCOUT reconnaissance UAV and the WARDOG TRN airborne communications relay.

The new model’s main feature is its multifunctional design. ROBONEERS developed the BULLDOG in two configurations: one for strike missions and another for signal relay.

In its strike version, the drone can operate as a bomber, dropping munitions on enemy positions and targets in the near rear. The second configuration is intended to maintain stable communications between ground and aerial equipment, including in difficult terrain and dense urban areas.

ROBONEERS said the BULLDOG has a flight endurance of up to 70 minutes and a maximum range of 20 kilometers.
