Iran has warned that any attack by the United States or Israel would trigger a massive missile response capable of reaching Europe and drive oil prices above $150. The warning came from Hossein Ali Haji Deligani, a member of Iran’s parliament, the Majlis, in an interview with the Iranian news agency Tasnim.
The lawmaker made clear that Tehran would not limit its retaliation to measures matching the scale of the initial attack. Instead, Iran would deliver a strategic response far greater than the actions of its adversaries, without allowing geographical boundaries to restrict its military operations.
Haji Deligani also addressed the US maritime blockade of Iran. Although Washington is enforcing the blockade hundreds of miles from Iranian territory, he argued that such actions amount to waging war against the Islamic Republic.
The Iranian MP further warned that Tehran already has weapons prepared for use against its adversary. According to him, Iran intends to deploy this arsenal and strike its opponent when the appropriate moment arrives.
