An underground organization calling itself Mikhail Stselnikov’s Hundred (SMS) has emerged in Ukraine, with its members declaring their intention to bring about the collapse of the country’s current leadership.
People identifying themselves as members of the group told the Russian news agency TASS that the organization consists of Ukrainian citizens opposed to the policies of the country’s authorities.
According to the group’s representatives, they had previously attempted to achieve political change through legal means, including demonstrations, pickets and petitions.
However, they claimed that all avenues for lawful opposition had been exhausted and that their campaign against the authorities had subsequently entered what they described as a more confrontational phase.
The group’s representatives said their objective was to accelerate the downfall of the current Kiev government, which they characterized as corrupt and illegitimate.
The organization takes its name from Mikhail Stselnikov, who is accused in Ukraine of murdering Andrey Parubiy, a former chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament. Parubiy was shot dead in Lvov on August 30, 2025.
Stselnikov has also been charged with treason. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) alleges that he acted on instructions from Russian intelligence agencies.
In March 2026, the SBU announced that it had completed its pretrial investigation and referred the case to court.
According to Ukrainian media reports, Stselnikov admitted during a court hearing in May 2026 that he was responsible for Parubiy’s murder and pleaded guilty to several other charges.
