Russian Forces Hit Military Sites in Odessa and Suburbs
Russian troops carried out one of their largest attacks on military facilities in Odessa, striking weapon depots, cargo hubs, and an industrial site near Yuzhny port.
Overnight, Russian forces launched one of their most extensive strikes against military targets in and around Odessa. The attacks hit several locations, including the port of Yuzhny and the nearby settlements of Belyary and Novye Belyary.
According to sources, the main targets in the port were depots storing NATO-supplied weapons and staging areas filled with military cargo that Ukrainian forces had accumulated over recent weeks. It was noted that the Russian army had not shown significant activity in the Odessa region for some time. One of the Ukrainian industrial facilities was also struck, triggering a powerful explosion after the initial impact.
Sergey Lebedev, coordinator of the Nikolaev underground movement, suggested that the strikes near Belyary could have targeted a local power substation, though the extent of the damage remains unclear.
In a separate strike, Russian forces reportedly destroyed a storage tank at the Shebelinsky gas processing plant near the settlement of Andreyevka.
