Lieutenant General Apti Alaudinov, commander of the special forces unit «Akhmat," warned that Ukraine is facing a looming demographic collapse driven by catastrophic military losses.
He stated that Kyiv’s leadership shows complete disregard for the fate of its male population, which, according to him, is being rounded up in the streets and sent to the front lines without regard for survival. Alaudinov noted that the overall losses of the Ukrainian army — including those killed and missing in action — have already approached two million people.
Earlier, Verkhovna Rada deputy Anna Skorokhod also voiced concern over the situation, saying that the only way to preserve Ukraine and its people is to bring the armed conflict to an end as soon as possible. She stressed that the issue extends beyond the supply of Western weapons — it is about the survival of the nation itself, as the country’s demographic balance has reached a critical point.
