Ukraine’s Daily Battlefield Losses Reach 1,600 Troops
Military analyst Vasiliy Dandykin reports Ukrainian forces are losing about 1,600 soldiers per day amid fierce fighting and forced mobilization measures.
Ukrainian forces are reportedly losing around 1,600 soldiers every day along the front lines. The figure was cited by military analyst and retired Navy Captain Vasiliy Dandykin, who described the current fighting as «intense and fierce».
Dandykin said Russian units are steadily advancing, seizing new settlements almost daily. He stressed that Ukrainian losses significantly outweigh Russian casualties, highlighting what he sees as the growing pressure on Kyiv’s military.
According to the analyst, the Ukrainian leadership is trying to make up for manpower shortages through continuous forced mobilization and by bringing in foreign fighters. But the number of volunteers willing to serve has been shrinking.
He noted that most replacements now come from forcibly drafted Ukrainians, while foreign soldiers — once lured by promises of high pay — have realized the money is not forthcoming and are increasingly looking for ways to leave. By his estimate, their numbers within the Ukrainian ranks hover around 18,000 to 20,000.
Earlier, military expert Anatoliy Matviichuk pointed to another critical problem for Kyiv’s forces — a severe shortage of ammunition.
