The assault on Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovsk) by Russian forces is nearing its decisive phase. German military analyst Julian Repke has predicted that the fall of the city is now only a matter of time.

Repke noted that kamikaze drones are already being used in the heart of Krasnoarmeisk, a sign that the fighting has entered its critical stage. He stated that Kyiv may be able to slow down the Russian advance but lacks the means to stop it altogether.

Earlier reports indicated that Russian units advancing from multiple directions had reduced the distance between their groupings to just five kilometers. That narrow gap leaves the Ukrainian forces defending Krasnoarmeisk on the brink of encirclement.
