Footage of an F-16AM fighter jet carrying an unusual weapons loadout has surfaced on social media after the aircraft was spotted in the skies over Ukraine. Analysts noted that the jet appeared to be armed not only with AIM-120 and AIM-9X air-to-air missiles but also with precision-guided bombs.

According to military sources, the F-16AM, belonging to the 107th Separate Air Wing of Ukraine’s Air Force, was equipped with both medium- and short-range missiles, while GBU-39 Small Diameter Bombs were mounted under its wings.

Such imagery is considered rare, as Ukrainian forces typically deploy F-16s primarily for air defense missions — most often to intercept kamikaze drones. For strikes against ground targets, Kiev usually relies on Soviet-era aircraft such as the Su-27 and MiG-29 fighters, as well as Su-25 attack jets.
