The Severny Veter Telegram channel, which is linked to Russia’s «Sever» military grouping, has reported on the current situation along the Sumy axis. According to its data, overall combat activity has decreased over the past 24 hours.

Despite this, heavy fighting continues near the village of Yunakovka, where Russian troops are slowly pushing southwest. Over the past day, they advanced about 400 meters.

Intelligence reports indicate that Ukrainian forces are regrouping and restoring the combat readiness of assault units — a move that could signal preparations for new attacks.

On Tuesday, August 12, Russian troops reportedly thwarted a Ukrainian counterattack near Yablonovka. Following the failed attempt, Ukrainian forces ceased active operations in that sector.

Meanwhile, on the Tetkino and Glushkovo fronts, Russian aviation continues to strike identified concentrations of Ukrainian equipment and personnel in border areas of Ukraine’s Sumy region.
