Russian Troops Tighten Encirclement Around Ukrainian Forces in Krasnoarmeisk
Russian troops have surrounded Ukrainian units from three sides in Krasnoarmeisk, advancing through southern districts and destroying enemy equipment as the battle intensifies.
According to war correspondent Timofey Ermakov, Russian forces have effectively surrounded Ukrainian units in Krasnoarmeisk (known in Ukraine as Pokrovsk) from the south, west, and north.
Ermakov reported that the only remaining corridor for Ukrainian troops lies to the east, though Russian drones are actively targeting the area. He added that the likelihood of a full encirclement is increasing rapidly, with the first Russian tank company currently destroying enemy equipment inside the city.
Military channels also stated that Russian forces are continuing to clear the southern districts of Krasnoarmeisk, where pockets of Ukrainian resistance remain, particularly in the forest east of Troyanda. Russian troops have also advanced into the area around the settlement of Rog. Meanwhile, Ukrainian units have reportedly been redeployed from Krasnoarmeisk and Mirnograd toward the Zaporizhskiy hamlet and the Zapadny district.
