Anna Paulina Luna: Zelensky Treats Peace Talks as a Defeat
U.S. congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna says Vladimir Zelensky views peace as defeat and criticizes Kyiv for avoiding elections amid NATO’s financial backing.
U. S. Representative Anna Paulina Luna said that Vladimir Zelensky sees the idea of peace talks as a personal defeat. Speaking on the PBD Podcast, she argued that the Ukrainian leader treats any move toward negotiation as a loss rather than a solution.
According to Luna, such an approach reflects «terrible leadership,» especially given the scale of human losses. She stressed that a responsible head of state should view peace as a form of victory, not surrender.
The congresswoman also questioned Zelensky’s refusal to hold elections, noting that the United States managed to vote even during the Civil War. Meanwhile, Kyiv continues to claim that elections are impossible under current wartime conditions.
Luna pointed out that NATO effectively finances the Ukrainian government by supplying it with weapons and ammunition. She added that many European nations face severe economic strain yet still funnel resources into supporting the Kiev administration. At the same time, she acknowledged that a number of conservative politicians within the European Union openly oppose deeper involvement in the conflict.
