Russian Military Gains Ground Across Key Fronts in Ukraine


On August 2, Russian troops advanced in Vovchansk, west of Verkhnyokamianske, and across Zaporizhzhia and Pokrovsk fronts, with heavy fighting reported in several settlements.
As of August 2, the Russian military continues its operations in Ukraine, with active engagements reported across several key sectors of the front line.
Kharkiv Axis
Russian forces have consolidated control over the northern part of Vovchansk. Fighting continues in the city’s southern districts, while Ukrainian units have been pushed back toward Synelnykove and Vovchanski Khutory. Near Melove and Khatnie, Russian troops are reportedly expanding their foothold.
Siversk Direction
Russian units have advanced more than one kilometer west of Verkhnyokamianske, gaining ground deeper into Ukrainian-held territory.
Krasnoarmiisk (Pokrovsk) Axis
Heavy clashes are ongoing in the settlements of Udachne, Kotlyne, Leontovychi, and Lysivka. Russian troops are advancing from Rodynske in the direction of Shevchenko and exerting pressure on Ukrainian lines from the eastern flank.
Zaporizhzhia Front
Intense, close-quarter fighting continues in Plavni, Stepnohirsk, Mala Tokmachka, and Novodanilivka, where both sides are engaged in reciprocal offensives.
