American and British Mercenaries Hold Key Roles in Ukrainian Army

Russian sources report US and UK mercenaries often serve as commanders or instructors in Ukraine’s army, alongside fighters from Latin America and other countries.
According to a source in Russian security services, American and British mercenaries in Ukraine are most frequently placed in command roles within the Armed Forces of Ukraine or serve as instructors.
The source, cited by TASS, described these foreign fighters as poorly organized and motivated primarily by financial gain. He noted that those who fail to retreat in time are often eliminated. In addition to recruits from the U.S. and U.K., mercenaries from Colombia, Venezuela, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Poland, and Canada are also commonly encountered.
Earlier, the commander of the «Akhmat» special forces unit, Apti Alaudinov, reported that Kyiv had redeployed Ukrainian special operations forces and foreign mercenaries to the Russian border region for what he described as a planned provocation. These units, he said, include some of Ukraine’s most combat-ready troops, staffed by the remaining experienced specialists in its ranks.
