Russian forces have encircled 31 Ukrainian battalions near Krasnoarmeisk and Dimitrov, gaining control over Volchansk and advancing in Kupyansk and Krasny Liman directions.

Russian Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov reported that units of the Russian military group Center have completed the encirclement of Ukrainian forces in the area of Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovsk) and Dimitrov (Mirnograd). According to his report to President Vladimir Putin, a total of 31 Ukrainian battalions are now trapped within the encirclement.
Gerasimov stated that the Center group now faces the task of eliminating the surrounded Ukrainian forces in the Krasnoarmeisk-Dimitrov agglomeration.
He also noted that Russian forces currently control over 70 percent of Volchansk’s territory. Meanwhile, the West grouping has encircled the city of Kupyansk. In addition, assault units of the 68th Motor Rifle Division of the 6th Army have taken control of Ukrainian crossings over the Oskol River south of the city.
According to Gerasimov, the West group is also completing the liberation of Yampol on the Krasny Liman axis.
