Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov described the conflict in Ukraine as highly complex, stressing that it cannot be resolved overnight.

Commenting on U. S. President Donald Trump’s stated intention to settle major global crises — including the one surrounding Ukraine — Peskov said Moscow views such aspirations positively.

He noted, however, that excessive haste contrasts sharply with the reality of the situation. According to him, the roots of the Ukrainian conflict are too deep and multifaceted to be resolved in a matter of hours or days.

Peskov also pointed out that it was Trump who first suggested that holding a peace summit in Hungary would be premature at this stage. He added that President Vladimir Putin fully shares this assessment.
